The Watch

A team that fights a boss together - one wound per player per day.

A Watch is tied to your account, not to a device. Every keeper lands one wound a day just by playing a normal run; together the Watch takes on a boss in 7-day attempts, and every kill raises the Watch level and gives each keeper who fought enough a permanent bonus.

Joining and founding

  • Open the Watch tab in the main menu. Joining needs a best wave of 150 in any world; founding needs wave 150 in World 3 and costs 100 diamonds, paid into the Watch's treasury
  • Find a Watch lists open Watches. The Captain or a Commander must accept your request, or you accept an invitation; both expire after 14 days
  • You can be in one Watch at a time. The Captain must hand over leadership before leaving, and the last member to leave dissolves the Watch
  • When you leave, your wounds stay with the Watch and your earned bonuses stay with you
  • Names are 3 to 24 characters and are checked like nicknames; renaming costs 200 diamonds from the treasury

Daily duty and the weekly boss

  • Daily duty: each keeper lands ONE wound a day, in a single regular run - there is no attack button
  • The card names one world and a target wave based on your recent runs there; the day resets at 00:00 UTC
  • The boss attempt lasts 7 days. Its target is a number of wounds: 50% of the regular keepers' possible duty days at low boss levels, rising to 90% from level 21
  • The boss needs at least 3 keepers. A failed attempt restarts the same boss at full health and the Watch level never falls; after a kill the next boss opens at the second UTC midnight
  • Each kill raises the Watch level by 1. Keepers with at least 2 wounds in that successful attempt choose a permanent +0.8% to one attribute: Damage, Health, Shield, Coins or Boss damage (capped at 50%, 50%, 150%, 30% and 40%)
  • Newcomers who join during an attempt fight from the next one

Ranks, seats and treasury

  • Captain leads, names the Watch, appoints Commanders and buys seats. Commander invites, removes keepers and buys seats. Watchman is a full member. Newcomer joined during a running attempt. Recruit is a beginner in Care
  • A Watch starts with 4 seats and grows to 10 regular seats. Seats come from the treasury (the 5th costs 200 diamonds, the 10th 2,000), and seats 7 to 10 also need Care Marks, which 4,000 treasury diamonds can replace per mark
  • Anyone can pay diamonds into the treasury (10 to 100,000 per payment, never refunded); it pays for seats, renaming and the emblem
  • A Captain silent for 14 days passes leadership on
  • Watch companions unlock at Watch levels 5, 10, 15 and 25, once you have earned levels in that Watch

Care for beginners

  • A beginner who joins before their first Awakening is a Recruit and goes into Care
  • To finish Care a Recruit reaches Awakening I, hits a wave goal in their world and completes Daily duty on 10 different days; the days need not be consecutive
  • The Watch then earns a Care Mark and the Recruit becomes a Watchman
  • Care Marks buy seats 7 to 10 and Watch Standards (cosmetic banners); they never lower the Care Marks board rank
  • A Watch with 6 or more regular seats gets 3 extra welcome seats for beginners, and its Captain can mark it "Beginners welcome"

Chat and recruiting

  • Chat is one conversation per Watch: 300 characters per message, 10 reactions, and you can share your build, an item or a finished run
  • The Captain or a Commander can open the Watch to new members, invite a player by exact nickname or Player ID, and get a short code to post an ad in the Discord recruitment forum

Check the duty card each day: it names the world and the target wave for your wound.
